The Wilderness Years

From 1983 to 1999, I never forgot my biking heritage. Girlfriends used to complain that I didn’t look at other women so much, but if a decent bike went by, I was lost. But the cash was never there, especially after an expensive divorce and large cut in salary. Occasionally I’d wander into a shop and see what was around. The Yamaha 900 Diversion looked nice – as did the Honda Deauville. Both had fairings and shaft drive (remember, I hated chains).

So, no bikes, no biking but I never gave up dreaming.
